چکیده
Abstract Polyether-etherketone (PEEK) is a corrosion-resistant material that has been widely used in aqueous lubrication. However, its anti-wear performance must be improved for application the industry. In this study, to improve of PEEK boundary lubrication, PEEK/MoS 2 composites were prepared by ball-milling and spark plasma sintering processes. A competitive MoS mechanism between low shear strength property role promoting wear debris generation influences composites. Experiments demonstrated coefficients friction (COF) rate composite with 0.25 wt% significantly reduced 68% 94%, respectively. Furthermore, was first time could achieve COF less than 0.05 Its verified better PEEK/carbon fiber (CF) Thordon The may potential underwater equipment because outstanding

Friction Force for Boundary Lubrication
A thermodynamic model describing the phase transition of first order between structure states of lubricant material in the boundary friction regime is proposed. It is shown that lubricant melts with temperature increase or at shear of rubbing surfaces if the elastic strain (stress) exceeds the critical value. The phase diagram with domains of dry and sliding friction is constructed. The depende...

متن کاملPEEK with Reinforced Materials and Modifications for Dental Implant Applications
Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a semi-crystalline linear polycyclic thermoplastic that has been proposed as a substitute for metals in biomaterials. PEEK can also be applied to dental implant materials as a superstructure, implant abutment, or implant body. This article summarizes the current research on PEEK applications in dental implants, especially for the improvement of PEEK surface and bo...
